一行人在沙漠中考察，迷失了方向，被撂在无边无际的大沙漠之中，干粮没有了，水也没有了。一个老队员临死时把剩下的人召到一起，留给他们一个满满的水壶，告诉他们除非找到新水源，否则这壶水别打开。剩下的队员们背着壶去找水，终于找到了，他们打开了那个一路上给于他们无限希望的水壶。结果，倒出来的全是沙子。但是他们幸福，因为可以继续活下去。
有健康的人，便有希望;有希望的人，便得到了幸福。
因有事做，而幸福
有一个有钱人，整天无所事事，什么也不干，终日愁眉不展，很不快乐。有一天，他的母亲病了，家中的仆人忙这忙那，可老夫人非让他儿子伺候不可。他就为母亲做饭，洗衣服，喂药，扶母亲到郊外散步……整日没有一点空闲，累得他腰酸背痛的。但在晚上，他看到母亲香甜的睡着了，他的心里是那样的甜，他笑了，会心的笑了。谁都不知道他现在有多么的幸福。
很多人都有过失业或者没事做的时候，这时他就会觉得日子过得很慢，生活很空虚。有过这种经验的人都会知道，有事做是一种幸福。

三、具体实施步骤
1、集体备课，提高教学质量
上课是教学的基本，平时做到认真研究教材，努力加强备课，特别要注意结合后进生的英语基础及其水平，尽量充分挖掘教材的文化背景知识和语言因素，并将两者有机地结合。在教学中找学生比较容易理解的切入点，增强教学的趣味性和幽默感，要想方设法吸引学生，让他们在课堂上有所得。平时做到积极讨论教学方法和措施，将学习任务（如：单元测试、专题复习、综合试卷等）分配给每一个备课组组员，做到分工合作。
2、注重“两读”的作用
充分利用好每周三次的早读和晚读时间，并结合上课的进度，布置有针对性的任务，特别是早读，一定要让学生“有事可做”，并对任务进行检查。
3、精心挑选复习资料和同步练习
在会考复习时间非常紧，任务相当重的情况下，复习资料的质量好坏，数量多少显得尤为重要，对资料的选择由组内教师共同探讨，核计。及时做同步练习，选题上一定考虑到不同水平的学生，搞分类推进，争取对练习篇做到全批—抽批—面批面改等，并对出现问题及时解决。
4、因材施教，辅导补差
由于学生基础存在着各种差异。我们应针对差异，循序渐进，因人施教。教学实践证明，按照统一要求进行教学，大部分学生是难以听懂、学好英语的。面对这一客观现实，教师必须要结合学生的实际水平，降低教学难度，由浅入深、循序渐进和重点辅导。也就是说，要把学生从学习到掌握知识分为若干层次，各层次交叉进行，以旧带新，以新温旧，不断复习与巩固；一旦发现问题，必须立即采取补救措施，及时补充“营养”。久而久之，他们就会逐渐养成主动自觉学习英语的良好习惯。
