I have a wonderful time on my birthday every I will never forget my tenth that evening,my friends came to my had a big mother put a big cake with ten candles,some fruit and drinks on the made a silent friends said“Happy Birthday”to me.
They gave me some nice presents,such as a basketball,flowers and my favorite sang,danced and played thanked them very much for their also thanked those who helped me and took good care of me,especially my felt I was the happiest boy in the world.

With more and more cars coming into our families, we are happy that it has greatly improved our life. But unluckily, it has also brought many problems, such as heavy traffic and traffic accidents.
Traffic safety is everybodys business. We must obey the rules. For example, we must walk on sidewalks , when we cross zebra – crossing, stop and look right and left, and then go across fast. Don’t play football on the road .we can tell our parents not to drink before they drive, not to run through red lights, not to talk and laugh while driving etc.
We can say cars are coming into our life, but only when everybody thinks traffic safety is everybodys business can we be safe driving on roads and walking on sidewalks.

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations.
Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this.
At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come.
With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.
Everyone has his own dream. Some want to be doctors. Others hope to bescientists. My dream is to become a teacher. Teachers can not teach us manythings at school, but they do their best to teach us how to learn. Thanks tothem, we learn knowledge. And at the same time, we learn how to live a happylife. They spend most time on their students. They are great in my eyes. hope tobe a teacher because I admire teachers.
I know it is not easy to make my dreamcome true. But I decide to study harder from now on. I am sure my dream willcome true.

We all know that clean air is important to good health. wherever you go and whatever you do, you are always surrounded by a sea of gases that we call air. If there are impurities in the air, they may be absorbed by our bodies and make us ill.
We need clean air, but unfortunately , air pollution is globally present , especially in cities.
Many large cities are anything but pollution-free. Our cities have many factories, which we need to make food, clothing and other things.
Every year these factories pour millions upon millions of tons of smog into air. Power plants and houses that burn coal add greatly to air pollution.
Besides , there are more cars in cities now. Once out on the streets, they will take in fresh air and replace it with poisonous gases.
Our country is trying hard to prevent and control air pollution. As long as every citizen also realizes its importance and makes join efforts, the day will come soon when people will take in only clean air.

Nowadays, more and more people like to travel in their holidays. The other day I read a report about the ways people spend their holidays. It is reported that in recent yiars several new holiday habits have been developed. Among them, the most interesting one is the growth of the so-called holiday camps.
From the report we can see that in 1990,40 percent of people stayed at home for holidays. But now the proportion has reduced to 9 percent. More people go out for fun. The proportion of camping and traveling abroad was increasing steadily, from 10 percent in 1990 to 38 percent in 2002, and 12 percent in 1990 to 26 percent in 2002 respectively. People enjoy the fresh air, clean Water and green hills when they go camping in the suburbs. In 1990,38 percent people enjoyed going to the seaside while in 2002 only 27 percent prefer to go there. Why did those changes appear? I think there are several reasons. First, it’ s because people can afford traveling. Second, people prefer to pursue a high-quality and colorful life. We have just moved into a new flat,like most people here living in their houses in the suburbs. Our house is big though it consists only two floors.
On the first floor there is the dining room, the lounge or sitting room, the kitchen and the hall. In the hall we set a stand for hats, coats and umbrellas. A staircase leads from the hall to the landing on the second floor; On this floor there are four bedrooms, a bathroom and a front of the house we have a small garden in which we grow flowers: roses,tulips and some fruit trees. Thereis also a vegetable garden where we grow all kinds of vegetables, such as cabbages, cauliflowers, and tomatoes. We all know how to plant vegetables for my father was once a vegetable grower.

My sister and I have been trying to get people to stop dropping cigarette butts for seven years.
One day, we were walking in our hometown and saw hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground. They made the town look so ugly that we decided to start a group to make people stop dropping butts. We called it No butts about it.
At first, we drew pictures with The earth is not your ashtray written on them. We put up the pictures around our hometownin parks, by beaches, and along roads. We wanted to make people understand that dropping butts spoils the environment. Most smokers dont think that dropping butts does any harm to the earth. But it does! All rubbish does.
Later, we wrote to some companies to collect money. We used the money to buy ashtrays for smokers. We wanted smokers to use the ashtrays in public places so that they didnt drop butts everywhere again.
At the moment, we are trying to get cigarette companies to put an ashtray in each pack of cigarettes. Some companies want to do it. Many people have joined our group since the group started. Today there are even similar groups in England, Australia and India!
Many newspapers have written about my sister and me over the last seven years. And we have won many prizes for our good work. But we are not interested in prizes, and we just want to make the earth a bette

Most of the Chinese people think that a family with one child is better than those with more children. Which is more important, health or wealth? When given this question, different people have varied answers. Some insist that health plays a more important role in our life, while others see more advantages arising from wealth.
the first group of people quote the old saying Health is above wealth to prove their idea. they argue that, on the one hand, a strong person can do almost anything as long as he/she tries hard. On the other hand, however, rich people will not be able to enjoy the wealth if their days are numbered.
In contrast, the advocates of wealth have such arguments as follows. For one thing, wealthy people will be able to buy more healthful foods. For another, they can enjoy better facilities to improve their health. (Take my neighbor, Lao Wang, as an example. He had a heart attack and is in hospital. However, he cannot afford the expensive operation, which costs as much as 100,000 yuan. therefore, he has to lie in bed hopelessly. If he were a rich man, his life could be saved.)

My teacher gave me an assignment _experience life_ last week. I had been thinking how to finish it because I had never done any thing by myself before.
Mother was out today. It was a good chance to complete the assignment. Seeing the barrel was empty, I decided to fetch water from the well.
I took the empty barrel and went towards the well outside the yard. It snowed yesterday, so the alley was very slippery. A layer of thickice was frozen on the platform of the well. I was frightened by the sight, but I gathered my courage to walk towards it. I stepped on the platform carefully. After standing steadily and squatting down slowly, I hooked the barrel at the end of the rope and put the rope down slowly. I made an effort to drag the barrel up after it was filled with water. I was very careful because it was easy to slip and fall. Then, I carried the barrel of water and returned to my house. My figners were frozen stiff. I like christmas, it is just like our spring festival.

My Day
Today is Monday. I got up at 6:30 .. Then I washed my face and ate breakfast. Milk, bread, egg and porridge are my favorites. My mother always gets up early and cooks for me. This morning, I drank a cup of milk and ate bread and an egg. After breakfast, I went to school at 7:00. School started at 7:50 and I usually get there at 7:30. I went to the Mu zha zoo with my friends last is on the road to Mu zha in took us about forty minutes to get there by was a big Mcdonalds near by the was so many people that it took us some time to buy the the entrance there were many vendors they were selling toys and took a look at these verdors and then went inside the zoo.
There were many sections in the zoo,like bird world,the animal area,the penquin house and the koala just follow the crowd and wactched those cute animals were cute and funny,such as the parrots:and some others were lazy,like was the sunny day so we were take a rest under the tree when it was too we visited all the sections I like all of the animals in the zoo except for some crazy monkeys.
I was most inpriced by the nocturnal animal usually enjoyed watching those animals because I thought they were cool and beautiful,like the reason I like the nocturnal animal house is because it was cool in the house,but everything was a little left the zoo in the evening and was still a lot of people outside the hope I can come back soon because I think this is a really fun place.
My Mother isa kind and gentle woman. She is always very gentle. She takes good care of her children and keeps them all at school. I have one brother and two sistets. So she gets four children in all. She gives us every comfort. We all love her and she loves us also.
My mother has too much to do in bringing us up. As our family is too poor to keep a servant, my mother has always to do very much work. She gets up very early and sleeps very late every day. She works hard, yet without complaining.
She is also a thrifty, and industrious woman. She saves every cent that she can and keeps everything in order. As she has been busy eversince she was young, she looks older than she really is. Her face is wrinkled, her hair becomes silver white, but she works as hard as ever.
Often she says to us, work while you work, play while you play. If you do not work, you will become lazy and of no use to society. What piece of good advice this is! We must worth it well and always keep it in our mind.
