The new skill I acquired was skating. The process is challening but , on watching the Winter Olympics Games in Beijing, I became enthusiastic about skating. From then on, I was determined to master this fascinating , at the very beginning, when I stepped on the ice, Istumbled over myself. Hard as I strive,I stillfell over again and again. The moment I thought of the athletes on the field, I was inspired by their powerful spirits. Eventually, my persistence and painstaking efforts paid off. I can skate freely all by the learning experience, I fully understand that only by diligent practicing can we overcome many kinds of difficulties. And eventually, we can have a good command of what we desire to learn.
Nowadays many youngsters prefer to go online in their spare time. Generally, its advantages can be seen as follows: first, through the Internet, they can gain new knowledge and the latest news at home and abroad. Besides, network offers them a convenient way to communicate with each other. The Internet makes their life outside class colorful. But every coin has two sides. The negative aspects are also apparent. One of the important disadvantages is that some students prefer to play computer games instead of studying their lessons. 众所周知，共享单车是共享经济的一种新形式，其目的是为了方便人们出行的最后一公里。它的实行完全靠的是人们自身的素质，但却导致了一系列令人痛心的问题。例如单车被盗，乱停乱放等等，乃至于有人戏言：“凭国人现在的素质，共享单车我们还玩不起” 近些年素质低、没公德这样的评价已经成了中国人的跗骨之蛆。难道我们真的玩不起共享单车吗?难道国人的素质真的如此之低吗?
地势坤，君子以厚德载物。一个人最重要的莫过于他的素质。相信很多人都听说过这样一个故事：一个大公司面试时，考官在门口放置了一把倒下的扫帚，最后被录取的是那个学历资历都未必如人，但却是唯一路过的时候扶起了扫帚的年轻人。扶起扫帚这并不是一个多么惊人的举动，然而却足以体现了这个大学生良好的个人素质。试想，如果他也像众多竞争者一样，没有去扶起那个扫帚，那么他也会是众多被拒绝的人中的一个，永远无缘于这个大公司。然而他却凭借他良好的素质脱颖而出，这不正向我们说明了素质对一个人的巨大作用吗?

My Home Town
My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

Health is our most important possession, so we should do our best to maintain it. As we all know, good health is necessary to happiness and success. On the contrary, people who are in poor health are often pessimistic or depressed. As a rule, bad health means misery and failure.
As far as Im concerned , there are three principal suggestions for us to follow. First of all, we should adopt a scientific diet, which provides the necessities for your body. The second one is that we are supposed to persist in taking physical exercise , especially the people working indoors. Last but not least, we are supposed to stay in a cheerful mood.
As for me, in order to keep fit, I force myself to keep away from the _junk food_ although it usually tastes good. Moreover, I even form good habits of doing morning exercises, listening to beautiful music and reading good books, which always cheer me up.
All in all, only by carefully obeying the laws of health can we keep ourselves healthy.
