Most students of our school， including me， think it is not right to build a chemical works near our school. Although the works will make a lot of money for our city， we do think it will do us more harm than good. The drinking water will be badly polluted. I am writing to express my views on the playground vandalism near my housing estate. The housing estate where I live in in the New Territories has many excellent facilities. While most people treat them properly, there are some people destroy all these valuable public resources. The playground equipment is heavily damaged. Some facilities are burned and broken. The graffiti are completely covered all over the place. Some of the graffiti even includes bad language. It’s adversely influence the children safety and our precious public resources.
The reason of this vandalism is mainly related to the people who are out of boredom and the shortage of security. Nowadays, most teenagers like to spend their time through hanging out with friends. When they have nothing to play or any recreational activities, the playground may be targeted as an amusement for spending their time. Due to teenagers are now in the process of building self-worth and self-esteem, they will try to do something over in order to get the peer recognition. For instant, the teenagers pretend to be a leader through destroying the facilities. In these recent years, these selfish and irresponsible behaviors under the fabricating, exaggerating from social media, started becoming rationalized. That’s why the playground vandalism happens. Secondly, it is because of the shortage of security guards. If there is security guard checking the playground regularly, to deter any vandalism promptly, this phenomenon will not happen.
To solve the problem, establishing a youth centre and forming a management committee are the best ways to solve the problem. Since Teenagers are having more free time, their needs of recreational activity are relatively elevated. Therefore, if there’s any activity or place to let them spend their free time, they will naturally lose interest in the destruction of the park, so as to protect the playground’s facilities and relieve the serious vandalism efficaciously. Establishing a youth centre is the best way to let the teenagers getting the community involved and spends their free time. In the youth centre, it will be provided some sporting equipment, chess game for them to play. Also, the youth centre will organize some activities for teenagers to enrich their life and help them to build up self-esteem, responsibility and self-worth. Let them can get into the community involved in the future easily.
Second, it’s about the security. Due to the shortage of security guard, the teenagers can go to destroy the park whenever they want. Nobody cares about it and looks after the place. It’s conceivable that the vandalism will continuously happen if there isn't any security guard. In contrast, if there is a management committee to supervise the playground, patrol it regularly, teenagers will behave more appropriate if they know that someone is watching them, so as to protect our facilities.
The situation now needs urgent attention! The existing playground is broken and dangerous for young children to play in. It’s not just vandalism, is a danger bomb in the society! If the problem cannot be solved promptly, it will become a vicious cycle, fully threaten our children safety and our daily life. The family had just moved to Rhode Island，and the young woman was feeling a little melancholy on that Sunday in May. After all，it was Mother's Day--and 800 miles separated her from her parents in Ohio.
一家人刚移居罗德岛。5月的那个星期天，年轻女人感到有点儿忧伤。毕竟，这一天是母亲节─而她却与俄亥俄州的父母亲遥距800英里。
She had called her mother that morning to wish her a happy Mother's Day，and her mother had mentioned how colorful the yard was now that spring had arrived. As they talked，the younger woman could almost smell the tantalizing aroma of purple lilacs hanging on the big bush outside her parents'back door.

So off they went，driving the country roads of northern Rhode Island on the kind of day only mid-May can produce：sparkling sunshine，unclouded azure skies and vibrant newness of the green growing all around. They went past small villages and burgeoning housing developments，past abandoned apple orchards，back to where trees and brush have devoured old homesteads.

_Come with me，_the man said. _Over that hill is an old cellar hole，from somebody's farm of years ago，and there are lilacs all round it. The man who owns this land said I could poke around here anytime. I'm sure he won't mind if we pick a few lilacs. _

Before they got halfway up the hill，the fragrance of the lilacs drifted down to them，and the kids started running. Soon，the mother began running，too，until she reached the top.

There，far from view of passing motorists and hidden from encroaching civilization，were the towering lilacs bushes，so laden with the huge，cone-shaped flower clusters that they almost bent double. With a smile，the young woman rushed up to the nearest bush and buried her face in the flowers，drinking in the fragrance and the memories it recalled.

While the man examined the cellar hole and tried to explain to the children what the house must have looked like，the woman drifted among the lilacs. Carefully，she chose a sprig here，another one there，and clipped them with her husband's pocket knife. She was in no hurry，relishing each blossom as a rare and delicate treasure.

Finally，though，they returned to their car for the trip home. While the kids chattered and the man drove，the woman sat smiling，surrounded by her flowers，a faraway look in her eyes.

When they were within three miles of home，she suddenly shouted to her husband，_Stop the car. Stop right here!_

The man slammed on the brakes. Before he could ask her why she wanted to stop，the woman was out of the car and hurrying up a nearby grassy slope with the lilacs still in her arms. At the top of the hill was a nursing home and，because it was such a beautiful spring day，the patients were outdoors strolling with relatives or sitting on the porch.

The young woman went to the end of the porch，where an elderly patient was sitting in her wheelchair，alone，head bowed，her back to most of the others. Across the porch railing went the flowers，in to the lap of the old woman. She lifted her head，and smiled. For a few moments，the two women chatted，both aglow with happiness，and then the young woman turned and ran back to her family. As the car pulled away，the woman in the wheelchair waved，and clutched the lilacs.

But it was Mother's Day，and she seemed so alone，and who wouldn't be cheered by flowers?_Besides，_she added，_I have all of you，and I still have my mother，even if she is far away. That woman needed those flowers more than I did. _

This satisfied the kids，but not the husband. The next day he purchased half a dozen young lilacs bushes and planted them around their yard，and several times since then he has added more.

My Opinions on Volunteering
We are middle school students and we are busy with our lessons. So some people think we should concentrate more on our studies. If we volunteer to help others it’s a waste of time. But I think volunteering is great.
I not only feel good about helping others but also get to spend time doing what I love to do. And from volunteering I have learned many things that I have never learned in class. So if I have an oppoutunity I’d like to visit old people’s houses to clean up for them. I’d also like to help sick kids in hospital. I love kids and I plan to put my love to good use by working in hospital.
In a word I’d like to help people who need help. If everyone helps out a bit the world will be more colorful.
My mother has a pair of keen eyes which can speak. Whenever I encounter difficulties, her eyes will encourage me and help me cheer up.
When I began learning to walk, mother always lent me a hand and encouraged me to stand up while I fell down. As I finally threw myself into her arms, her eyes Smiled with praise. Aftei I entered the school, mother's eyes still encouraged me. Once I failed my Chinese exam, my mother helped me find out the reasons instead of blaming me. Now I have grown up and become more independent, but whenever I come across setbacks, my mother's eyes are always with me encouraging me wherever I go.

Recently, there has been a growing concern among the public over the topic of the choice after graduation. As is described in the picture, a group of graduation is facing various roads such as: searching for jobs, pursuing further study, going abroad and entrepreneurship. The picture intends to convey to us this message: As adults, college students have to make decisions about their future life.
After graduation, college students have to make decisions about their future life. For those who are eager to become economically independent and to put into practice what they have learned in college, taking a job or doing poineeringwork will be both satisfying and rewarding. Getting established as a bread-winner after graduation is their main desire. By contrast, those who want to take advantage of the favorable conditions in college, however, will try to enroll in graduate programs inside or outside. For them, a Master's degree or even a Doctoral degree represents a much more ambitious goal than a bachelor's degree. In the same way, their lifetime success and interest lies more in academic achievements than in making money.
As far as I am concerned, it is sensible that we should take a rational attitude towards the decisive choice. For the part of my own, getting a higher degree abroad has long been my dream. This is based on my belief that I should do more research and learn more while I am still young.

The burden of students has been a hot topic for many years, but the load of parents has received little attention ,especially from their own children .
The picture shows us a touching moment when a little comes to greet her working mother . Realizing that her mother must be very tired after a day’s work , the girl helped to remove the bag from her shoulder. In response , the mother kneels down to show how happy and thankful she feels.
All that reminds me of my mother who has been doing whatever she could to let me have the best. But , totally engaged in studies , I seldom pay attention to what mother needs and feels, and always think studying is the only thing I could do in return .Now I know I can do my bit to help with the everyday washing , bedroom cleaning ,or at least prepare breakfast myself , so as to share mom’s daily burden. The picture convinces me that it is even more important to be a good daughter than a “good” student”.
What is the purpose of students studying hard all these years, of course for the better future. Every parent wants their kids have advantage over others, so they can be outstanding and have a good job. Students learn in campus, they are in the stage of studying knowledge while getting a job soon, there is necessary for them knowing something about society.
Before study in college, students focus all their attention on study for entering a good college, they don’t need to care about other things, it is also what their parents tell them. After entering college, it is a little different, at this stage, study is no more the only task, students should have access to society. They should make some preparation for the job hunting, knowing society helps them get use to the society quickly. Some students only care about score, when they find a job, the employer will ask him something about the public news, but students have no idea, this is so bad. What’s more, getting familiar with the society makes students find their own positions, they will know what they want and fight for it.
The atmosphere of society is very different from campus, in order to better adjust to finding a job, students should get to know society.
The new skill I acquired was skating. The process is challening but , on watching the Winter Olympics Games in Beijing, I became enthusiastic about skating. From then on, I was determined to master this fascinating , at the very beginning, when I stepped on the ice, Istumbled over myself. Hard as I strive,I stillfell over again and again. The moment I thought of the athletes on the field, I was inspired by their powerful spirits. Eventually, my persistence and painstaking efforts paid off. I can skate freely all by the learning experience, I fully understand that only by diligent practicing can we overcome many kinds of difficulties. And eventually, we can have a good command of what we desire to learn.
